The Waldorf Center for Higher
Education was founded in 1997 to offer associate and
bachelor degrees through the CSM/UMUC Alliance, a
partnership between the College of Southern Maryland (CSM)
and the University of Maryland University College (UMUC).
Today, the Waldorf Center continues
to innovate by offering students the convenience of
affordable, local learning with the quality and diverse
program and degree offerings of UMUC, Towson University,
and College of Notre Dame. Students can choose the
degree program from our universities that will best
match their personal, career and academic goals.
The Waldorf Center for Higher
Education provides daytime, part- and full-time, evening
and weekend programs to meet the scheduling needs of our
students. In addition, certificate, online and
accelerated courses are available for those students
needing an additional challenge or seeking to fast track
their degree and careers.
Because of our small student to
staff/ professor ratio, we can take the time to get to
know you and your academic and career goals. You’ll meet
people from across the region, building friendships and
connections that will last a lifetime.
In addition, the Waldorf Center for
Higher Education is linked to local and regional
businesses, government agencies and healthcare and
educational organizations so we can constantly improve
our programs and prepare our students to meet our
students and communities changing workforce and
educational needs.
Located in Charles County Maryland,
the three-floor facility includes administrative space,
16 classrooms and three state of the art computer labs.
The center also provides advising and student services
for CSM and UMUC students in one convenient location.
