A Seamless Transition

The CSM/UMUC Alliance allows students to be admitted and registered for courses at College of Southern Maryland (CSM) and the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) concurrently. 

Your CSM associate's degree does not have to be completed prior to beginning coursework at UMUC. With the CSM/UMUC Alliance, you can register for classes at both institutions simultaneously or move back and forth between institutions from one semester to the next. Upper level coursework within your approved alliance program will apply towards your bachelor's degree at UMUC.

On the application question "If you are currently pursuing an Associate's degree at one of our alliance community colleges please select the institution", indicate CSM by selecting "College of Southern Maryland."
